I’ve been to Nepal before but this was my first time with this company and I’m glad that path crossed. Ram sorted every detail of my quick mountain trek without fuss as climbing was the actual hard part! I even got a great hotel to stay at both before and after the trek. They found the hotels at lower price than seen online. My bus seats were reserved rides arranged, and everything else taken care of. He also helped me with shipment of some stuffs back home and waved goodbye with such a genuine warmth.
For trekking and everything else like where to find the best thakali, whether you’re new to Nepal or experienced, I would recommend Outdoor Himalayan Treks for everyone.

We had a really great guide, Dilli. We’re thankful to him for looking after us do well, and handling all the problems we had during the trek. We never felt uneasy because he made sure of it. he paid attention whenever we spoke and treated every choice we made with care. Even when things got rough, he didn’t fail to give us hope. Thank you for the talks and laughs we shared together and everything else.

The last seven (2013-2014, 2017-2019, 2023, 2025) of my nine years of trekking in the Nepalese Himalaya (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Langtang NP, Siwalaya regions), I have been using the services of the company Outdoor Himalayan Treks, based in Kathmandu. Being in close contact with both company managers, Raj and Badri, every year. After I met Raj and Badri, I no longer thought a lot about how to organize the trip – where to buy the tickets (bus to Pokhara, plane to Jomsom), how to order a jeep (to Langtang NP), how to obtain all the permits in Kathmandu (as quick as possible – save time). And, importantly, I stopped thinking about how much I was paying for all this services – sometimes I couldn’t even believe if they were making any money from all their help. Besides, they have always suggested convenient and at the same time economical hotel options in Kathmandu. So there was no need to think (and waste time) about this problem also. Entire my experience of the collaborating with them both, Raj and Badri, can be summed up in a few words: Reliability, Tolerance, Flexibility. And always – Сordiality. When everything goes like this, there is always only joy in the soul from the any next trip. And this joy from the contact with such people who are always cheerful and ready to help is even more important than any other formal aspect in the organization of the travel, which always was at the very high level.
And to add some words more. In 2023, my friends and I were accompanied by a young guy Anis (Anis Adhikari – he was a guide and a porter – helper). He’s a wonderful guy in every way, including being strong and not capricious. It was a pure pleasure to communicate with him during a month. So, I’m always happy to recommend him as a helper on a mountain trip.

It was our first visit to Nepal but definitely not last!
Mostly thanks to the whole OHT team.
Everything was planned perfectly from our pick up from airport till our drop off.
We contacted Ram couple weeks before our arrival and planned the trek based on our preferences. We choose ABC+ Mardi Himal which was a great option for a first visit. What was more important is that we could make changes in the plan it wasn’t tight schedule.
Reasons why I would choose OHT in my future treks in Nepal:
-overall safety: no matter what I could always text or call with any emergency/change of plans and got answer within 5 minutes
-safety on the trek: our guide (Deepak) based our day personally to our capacity and tiredness.
-overall trek plan based on our preferences.
– lodges and hotels- they were perfectly chosen
– extra activities outside of trekking- especially cultural and religious sites- our guide Krishna was well educated in that matter and gave us some insights into Buddhism and Hinduism.

Planning new trip one of the key factor for me is a flexibility and readiness for different scenario of local agent.
We had booked ABC (Annapurna BC) trek With Badri’s company “Outdoor Himalayan Treks” everything was easy from the begging. Easy end friendly contact, openness for suggestions (caused by my time limitations). The trek itself was organised in very professional way. Starting from landing in Kathmandu (where there was somebody waiting) till the moment when we said good bye to each other.
The offered hotels both in Kathmandu and Pokhara had good standard and bus to/from Pokhara was just luxury (possible to sleep). Something to underline, during the trek, 3 times a day I was free to choose any meal from availbale menu.
And most important! The guide Rupak and porter Procas – just fantastic people. I am glad and happy that I had a chance to spent with them this unforgettable days. The same I can say about Rajesh. The man who showed Kathmadu. Very knowledgeable man with a high skill of presenting history in interesting way.
One day I will come back to Nepal, and if the reason will be a trek, than the of-course with Outdoor Himalayan Treks managed by Badri & guided by Rupak and Procas help!

I did the Annapurna Basecamp Trek (ABC) with Outdoor Himalayan Treks in the end of February 2025 in a private Tour with my girlfriend and can‘t recommend them enough.
The organisation (pickup at airport, hotels in KTM and Pokhara and also in the mountains, the transport and the whole organization of the treck) was very smooth. Our guide Deepak and our strong porter Parkash weren’t only very good at their job but also a very nice company. We became friends over the trek and had a lot of fun together. They were also super calm and respectful and made us feel comfortable in every situation.
The whole trip exceeded our expectations and will be remembered for the rest of our lives.

Visiting Nepal and trekking through the mountains was always our dream. Me and my boyfriend Viktor decided to go on the Annapurna Basecamp Trek and booked the tour with the company and we couldnt be more happy with everything that came with it. First of all the organization was very good. We got picked up at the airport, transported to our hotel in Kathmandu and the next day to Pokhara. Everything went very smoothly and without any problems.
On out first day in Kathmandu we got to know our lovely guide Deepak and the day after the best porter Parkash. Both men were really amazing and after 8 days of spending most of our time together, we consider them our friends. Deepak was always helpful, respectful and taught us a lot about Nepal and the nepalese culture and people. He was really fun to be around. Especially the day we reached the ABC was our favourite. We didnt have any wifi or anything so we spent the evening playing cards and just enjoying our time together. We are so grateful that we got to know Deepak and Parkash and we will definitely come back one day and do another tour with both of them.
