Based on the feedback of our valued clients and our own experience as tour operators, Nepal is absolutely safe for tourism, despite the ongoing domestic conflicts and unrest.
Besides the top three regions (Everest, Annapurna and Langtang), there are several other trekking destinations which offer different sets of experiences. To name a few are Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Dolpa, Humla, Jumla, etc.
The Manaslu region lies near the Tibetan border and was opened for tourists only in mid 1990's. This region is explored by less number of visitors than others. Although the usual duration for trekking around Manaslu is generally more than 3 weeks, we offer you a perfect tour of the region that you can complete in 18 days.
This is an adventurous and equally demanding trek that routes through some very remote villages and the marvelous Makalu Valley, named after the fifth highest peak, Mt. Makalu (8481 m) and located in the neighbourhood of the Everest region of Nepal. Since Arun river originates from this valley, it is widely known as Arun Valley too.
This is a major variation of the Makalu - Barun Valley Trek and can be completed in 25 days after you arrive in Kathmandu. The trek begins from Tumlingtar and ends at Lukla. The trail follows Arun River (upstream) and includes two high altitude passes, Sipton La (4126 m) and Amalapcha (5700 m) as well as Makalu Base Camp (5000 m).
Kanchenjunga region is situated in the north-eastern part of Nepal, near the Nepal-India border, on the other side of which lies Sikkim. This region is quite remote and relatively very less frequented by international trekkers. Yet, it is not in any sense, inferior to other trekking regions.
If you wish to explore some of the least frequented trekking areas in the Himalayas, the Ganesh Himal Trek is perfect option for you. you can have an unparalleled experience of the rustic lifestyle plus the natural wonders in the remote places near Mt. Ganesh (Ganesh Himal).
