Langtang Valley Trek begins just outside of Kathmandu valley and later passes through Langtang National Park which is a vast stretch of forest with different rare species of animals, birds and flowers. Musk deer, pika, Danphe (the national bird of Nepal), monkeys, etc. are a few to name.
After leaving the village of Langtang, you trek to Kyangjin Gompa and after walking about half a day from there, you will arrive at Yala, where you can visit the famous Yala Cheese Factory. Eastside of Kyangjin lies is a STOL airstrip at Chhaldang. Moving on from Kyangjin, you will see several pastures of Langsisa and glaciers.
