trip Overview

Mt. Manaslu (8163) offers one of the most adventurous mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas of Nepal. Mt. Manaslu Expedition is for those who seek some adrenaline pumping through mountaineering. Also, for those to test their spirit, endurance, and skills in the dizzying heights of a long campaign. After standing at the top, you will enjoy an incredible panorama of numerous peaks like Ngadi Chuli, Himalchuli, Baudha, Ganesh Himal, and others. Home to rare ethnicities of Nepal like Nubri, Tsum, and Bhotia. The approach trek route also takes you through a variety of climate zones from subtropical to polar. As a result, you will also encounter a surprising diversity of wildlife in these different climatic zones.

It lies in the Gorkha range to the east of Annapurna. Manaslu sits dominantly in its surrounding with its steep rise into the blue sky making an unmistakable exhibition of its majestic height. Around the peak are flat glacial valleys and long mountain ridges leading into it. Not only making the mountain visible from a long distance but also offering several feasible routes to its base camp. You face the challenges of climbing steep snow, slippery ice, and also the threats of avalanches between the final two high camps.

Among the 8-thousands of Nepal, Mt Manaslu has its specialties. First successfully ascended by a Japanese team in 1956, it is also referred to as a “Japanese mountain”.  Mt Manaslu is also the first ever 8000m-plus peak to be climbed by women. Furthermore, Manaslu derives from a Sanskrit word that means soul or intellect. The locals living in the high mountain region in the vicinity of Manaslu believe that the cosmic soul of the god dwells in this peak. Manaslu Expedition is challenging but adventurous at the same time.
