  Day 1: Arrival/Transfer to Hotel
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be met by our staff at Tribhuvan International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. After some refreshment and rest, you can get around the Thamel area on foot in the evening. If you have enough time, we recommend visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, either on your own or with our guide.

Day 2:

Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu
You will be taken on a complimentary guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu while the documents and permits required for your trek are being prepared. You will also meet the team in our office and be briefed about the whole program. You are encouraged to ask any questions you may have.

Day 3:

Domestic Flight to Tumlingtar. Trek to Khandbari
You should wake up early in the morning and get prepared to leave Kathmandu. After you have had your breakfast your guide will receive you from your hotel and take you to the airport to catch the flight to Tumlingtar. Once you are there and everything is in order, you begin trekking. In the evening you will reach Khandbari, where the crew will locate a proper camping site and prepare for the night.

Day 4:

Khandbari to Chichile
Once we leave Khandbari, we are on one of the toughest trekking routes in Nepal. It would take us about 7 hours to reach Bhotebas. After a short recess, we continue walking and finally camp at Chichile. The villages we pass through on our way are mostly inhabited by Sherpa people of Tibetan origin. We will also have some nice views of Arun Valley.

Day 5:

Chichile to Num
Today, we walk for nearly 8 hours and our trail passes through several villages before we reach the Num village. There we will erect our tents and prepare dinner.

Day 6:

Num to Sinduwa
Continuing from Num, we will pass through more small villages and after 3 to 4 hours, we will be walking by the side of Arun River. We follow the river upstream and after climbing uphill for another 4 hours, settle at Sinduwa.

Day 7:

Sinduwa to Tashigaon
Initially, our trail passes through a dense alpine forest. Our destination for the day, Tashi Gaon, is the last village we will be seeing until we get to Chukkum 12 days later.

Day 8:

Tashigaon to Khongmala
The trail between Tashi Gaon and Khongmala is long but rewarding as we can view the beautiful mountain range most of the time. In about 8 hours we will reach our camping site at Khongmala.

Day 9:

Khongmala to Mumbuk
We need to cross two passes today, Sipton and Tu La. Afterwards, we will continue walking for about 3 hours through the jungle to reach Mumbuk where we shall camp for the night.

Day 10:

Mumbuk to Yanjila Kharka
First, we follow the uphill trail for about an hour, find a good spot to prepare and have our lunch and get some rest. Later, we resume our walk and in about 3 hours, reach Yanjila Kharka where we spend the night in our own tents again.

Day 11:

Yanjila Kharka to Jack Kharka
Today our trail has alternating uphill and downhill slopes through the alpine forest. It may take us up to 8 hours to get to Jack Kharka, our next camping site.

Day 12:

Jack Kharka to Merak
At first, we will be walking along the bank of Arun River for about 3 hours. Then after, we have to get past several up and downhill slopes to get to Ramara. After lunch, we head for Merak, trekking for about 4 hours. We will erect our tents early and enjoy the evening view of Mt. Makalu.

Day 13:

Merak to Makalu Base Camp
The segment between Merak and Makalu Base Camp is mostly covered with gravel or snow. So we have to be careful. The good news is that we can reach the camp in about 5 hours. We will have plenty of time to photograph the mountain peaks and colorful rocks on our way.

Day 14:

Acclimatization and exploration at at Makalu Base Camp
Before ascending any further, acclimatization is required. So we spend the whole day today resting or visiting some interesting sites in the locality. The nearby Arun Pond is a fascinating one as its water seems to be dual colored. We shall try to go to bed as early as possible so that we can start early the next day.

Day 15:

Makalu Base Camp to Kuna Camp (also known as Puja Camp)
Initially, we take a graveled path after leaving the base camp. In about 6 hours we will be walking by the side of a small river formed by melting snow. Late in the afternoon, we arrive at Kuna Camp or Puja Camp and find a good camping site to setup our tents for the night stay.

Day 16:

Kuna Camp to Advance High Camp
The trail we follow today gets quite steep and we need to climb for nearly 5 hours to reach the Advance High Camp.

Day 17:

Advance High Camp to Baruntse Base Camp
Our challenge for today is to climb the hill from the high camp using a rope. In about 2-3 hours we will cross East-West Col and get some rest. From there, we have to walk for another 3-4 hours to reach Baruntse Base Camp where we spend the night in a camp.

Day 18:

Baruntse Base Camp to Panch Pokhari
Although we will be walking for only about 5-6 hours today, it will be a bit tougher as most of the way we will be climbing steep uphill. Several small ponds will be seen on the way and finally we camp at Panch Pokhari.

Day 19:

Panch Pokhari to Chhukum
After leaving from Panch Pokhara, we climb some up some steep hills for about 3-4 hours to the top of Amalapcha. From there, we begin the descent using a rope. It may take slightly over an hour to descend that way. Aftewards, we will have to walk downhill for another 3-4 hours to reach Chhukum. On our way, Mt. Everest, Peak 39, Island Peak and Mt. Ama Dablam will be smiling at us. We camp for the night at Chhukum.

Day 20:

Chhukum to Tengboche
Today we leave from Tengboche after the morning tea/breakfast and cross Dingboche and Pheriche. In about 7 to 8 hours, we will have arrived at Tengboche, where we stop for the night camping.

Day 21:

Tengboche to Namche
Leaving from Tengboche in the morning, we continue our trek and about 6-7 hours later, we reach Namche, where we will camp for the night.
