Itinerary

In a little over an hour, the flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa takes you over the majestic Himalayan peaks and land you at Gongar International Airport. From there we move on to Tsedang, the seat of the first Tibetan king Nyatri Tsenpo, among whom a number of popular legends have grown.


The highlight of our visit today will be Yambalakhang Palace, believed to have been built by the first king of Tibet and then the Chendruk temple. Our stopover for the night will be near Samye Monastery, an impressive piece of architecture sitting upon a hill


We reach Lhasa, have lunch and start our exploration of this wonderful city. A couple of days in this city will feel like a flash of a moment since it has a lot of cultural and religious heritage going back to hundreds of years. We may start with a visit to Sera Monastery. Then we will see the sheer majesty of Norbulinka Palace, Jokhang Temple, and take a stroll through the Barkhor Market steeped in its ancient aura. Then there will be Potala Palace and Drepug Monastery and so many other small and big monasteries, other monuments, and marketplaces bustling with traders and consumers.


Before reaching the natural hot springs in Terdom, we visit Drayerpa Cave, Ganden Monastery, Drigung Tel Monastery en route.


Rating monastery is a must see if you are interested in exploring the depth of spiritual heritage and its antiquity in Tibet. The monastery was the seat of the guru of the Dalai life in the past.


We reach the one of the highest altitude located lake today, considered sacred by the people. This is a massive lake with nearly 2000 square kilometers in area. Watch this immense beauty and take a stroll on its side in the afternoon. In the evening, you will stay at a hotel near the lake.


We return to Lhasa today, but not without making a visit to a nearby hot-spring. Take a dip in it to reinvigorate your body and spirit. Then drive to Lhasa and spend your night in the fabulous city.


Today we return from Lhasa to Kathmandu, again over the majestic Himalayas.

Health and Fitness Requirement:

This trip requires you to be in good health and physically fit.

Travel Insurance:

  • Make sure that you are insured against cancellations, accidents, health, emergency evacuation and loss, theft of, or damage to, baggage and personal effects.
  • In emergency situations, we will arrange for a helicopter rescue, medical treatment and after care for you. All these costs shall be borne by your travel insurance company.

CANCELLATION

  • Free cancellation up to 60 days prior departure
  • 30% of the total cost of the trip will be charged if cancelled between 60 to 30 days prior to departure date
  • 60% of total cost of the trip will be charged if cancelled in between 30 to 14 days prior to departure date. 
  • No refund will be provided if cancelled within 14 days prior of departure date.
  • No refunded will be provided if the guest will not show up. 
  • Regrettably, in case where the trek/tour can not be completed due to customer's own problem or sickness or unfavourable weather there will be no refund. 
  • If the trekking/tour is extended more than given itinerary extra charge will be applied accordingly 
  • If the agreed trip can not be organised due to bad weather or any unforeseen events, similar trip will be organised (in the mutual understanding with the travellers)
