trip Overview

For those seeking a short but adventure-filled rafting experience in a challenging river, Bhotekoshi Rafting Adventure is the best alternative. Lying just three hours away from Kathmandu along the Araniko Highway, the torrential rapids of the river may toss you around like pieces of debris floating on it. With most of its rapids falling into grade IV with many continuous IIIs coming between the IVs, Bhotekoshi is the ideal venue to test your zeal for water adventure. Its deep, steep, high gorges (one of the world’s highest bungees is located in the Bhotekoshi gorge) will just dwarf you with a sense of your lowly journey although the mighty rapids periodically throw you up from the river’s surface.

We generally make it into the river from Lamosanghu. Then, follow the river down for a stretch of about 20 kilometers. In the standard two-day itinerary, we reach the river at the put-in point on the first day. After that, engage in rafting for about ten kilometers and return to a resort to spend the night. On the following day as well, our starting point will be the same. But we run the full course of 20 kilometers, finally emerging out of the river in Dolalghat Bazaar. Join us for Bhotekoshi Rafting Adventure for an enthralling experience.

Itinerary

It is about 95 kilometers to reach Lamosanghu from Kathmandu, where we start our water journey. In the first day, we raft half of our normal course, stop and return to a resort or our camp to spend the night. Although short, this is a very exciting section of the river, filling you with thrill and adventure.

We have again an action-packed, thrilling day today. Lunch will be served en-route on the river bank and the journey comes to a halt at Dolalghat Bazaar.
