This is an amazing trek that begins from Nayapul, a location just outside of Pokhara Valley, passes through dense rhododendron forests with snow-capped peaks in the background, enters several villages, follows a fairly easy trail with some steep climbs and takes you into the serene Annapurna Sanctuary and finally up to Annapurna Base Camp.
You will find many a reasons to be fascinated during your Annapurna Base Camp trek. Highlights of the trek include panoramic views of mountain ranges and peaks, captivating sunrises and sunsets, terraced farmlands, ample time to villages of different ethnic groups and ample time to immerse yourself in the Himalayan lifestyle plus warm hospitality of the local people.
Except for the rainy season, this trek can be done almost throughout the year. However, it gets more exciting and memorable during springtime. |
