trip Overview

Ama Dablam Expedition provides the alluring looks of Mt. Ama Dablam pulls a number of mountaineers to it every year, but the climbers need to use all technical skills of mountaineering because it is technically very challenging to summit this peak. Climbers mostly use south-west ridgeline to ascend it, which is its normal climbing route. Except for the base camp, climbers set up 3 other camps to reach its summit. If the weather is fine, it is possible to reach its summit and climb down to the base camp within four/five days.

If you want to take up the ultimate challenge and the ultimate thrill of Himalayan peak climbing; then be prepared to negotiate steep snow-covered slopes and ice-covered rocks. The first leg of the ascent from the base camp to the first high camp is possibly the toughest, requiring you to climb up through several low ridges formed by glacier debris. Then you should turn north, and after passing through rock walls and huge boulders, you will reach the destination.

The next part of the journey, from the first high camp to the second high camp, is pretty similar. You will pull yourself up through rocks and at least a ridge following the fixed lines. From here onwards, climbing becomes even more challenging. You need to pass through vertical gulleys (the tunnel-like formations caused by prolonged erosion) filled with rock, ice, and snow. Finally, a snow-covered ridge takes you to the third high camp. Again, continue on steep ice and snow, moving up a hanging glacier. When you stand on the top, you will feel generously rewarded for your efforts. The Ama Dablam Expedition serves magnificent views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Island Peak, Makalu, and a number of other peaks jutting out into the sky. It is literally an unbeatable Himalayan panorama of the most varied, most varied and the highest Mountain region (the Everest Region) of the entire world.
